Office Manager
Jeanine is a native of South Florida. Her wonderful family consists of her husband Roly, beautiful daughter Madison, green burmese python Oliver, eastern indigo Angus, wheaton terrier Dash and her crazy russian blue dumbo rat Sapphire.
Jeanine joined our practice in August of 2005 as a Veterinary Technician. She became our Office Manager in February of 2006. She's an invaluable asset to our practice, clients and patients.
Jeanine's passions include wildlife rescue/rehabilitation, environmentalism, horses, reptiles and her family.
Dyanne
Velasquez
Veterinary Technician
Dyanne is a Certified Veterinary Technician who was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but moved to Florida to attend Nova Southeastern University in Davie. She later received her Bachelor of Science degree from NSU and recently graduated from Miami Dade College's Veterinary Technician program.
Her passion is working with exotic animals, but she especially loves rabbits and educating people about the joys of having house rabbits.
Dyanne is married to her wonderful husband Alex and is a bunny slave to her two adorable rabbits, Hopps and Dots. In her spare time she enjoys running, reading, watching Alex compete in triathlons and playing with Hopps and Dots. She has recently added a Timneh African Grey Parrot Gibson to her crew.
Kristin
Runkle
Veterinary Technician
Kristin was born and raised in South Florida. She married Matthew, her high school sweetheart, in October 2006. Together they breed ball pythons and have numerous reptilian pets, one cat, two ferrets and a skunk.
Kristin joined our practice in April of 2008. She spent the prior 2 1/2 years
as a bird and reptile keeper at Miami Seaquarium. Kristin's hobbies include reptiles,
reading & martial arts.
Yong
Sheltra
Veterinary Technician
Yong moved here from the Northwest 14 years ago and has been studying wildlife rehabilitation ever since her arrival. She is Certificate holder from the University of Minnesota’s Raptor Rehabilitation Center, more specifically in the care and management of captive raptors. She is a long time outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys many activities including wildlife rescue, falconry, pigeon keeping, gardening, diving, hiking, treking, camping, and just about everything else that keeps her under the stars.
She has many beloved pets that she calls family, and often takes her pets to scout, school, and outreach functions to educate people about Florida’s fabulous and fragile eco-system.
Her mission is to help all those who have native or exotic wildlife as pets and to help them better understand proper housing and natural environmental enrichment for their animal, so that they live many healthy and harmoniously years together.
Babette
Walsh
Receptionist
Babette was raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and has lived in south Florida for 25 years. She attended Keiser College and has worked in a dental specialty practice as a surgical assistant and office manager for over 20 years.
Babette joined our team in November 2007 and loves working with exotics and their owners. She lives with her two rabbits, "Oliver" and "Ray Ray"; lovebird, "Atticus"; cats “Joker” & “Tabatha”; and her various reptiles. She enjoys running, reading and spending time with her pets.
