Cynthia Mark
Practice Manager

Cynthia is originally from Ohio, however,  has lived in Florida since 2003. She joined our practice September 2016 and brings a wide variety of veterinary experience.  She is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has worked in canine/feline private practice, emergency and critical care and has transitioned into practice management for the last three years.  She also has her bachelors and masters in Business Management. Cynthia enjoys participating in various sporting activities,working out - staying fit, relaxing at the beach and hanging out with her furry kids.  Her utmost favorite activity is dragon boating as it requires her to remain physically fit.  In 2015 she achieved a world bronze medal with USA dragon boat women's team. She shares her home with a 20 year old cat named Samson, 7 year old dachshund named Lorenzo and a 45 year old amazon parrot named Cookie.  

Dyanne Velasquez
Veterinary Technician

Dyanne is a Certified Veterinary Technician who was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but moved to South Florida to attend Nova Southeastern University in Davie where she received her Bachelor of Science degree.  Deciding to pursue a career in animal nursing, she went back to school and graduated from Miami Dade College's Veterinary Technician program in 2007.

After graduation in May 2007, Dyanne was hired on as a full-time member of the staff. Her passion is working with exotic animals, but she especially loves rabbits and educating people about the joys of having house rabbits. 

Dyanne is married to her wonderful husband Alex and they share their home with two adorable rabbits, Keiko and Koji, along with a precocious Timneh African Grey parrot named Gibson. She also enjoys reading, running, mountain biking, watching movies and drinking craft beer with friends.

Kristin Runkle
Veterinary Technician

Kristin was born and raised in South Florida. She graduated from Deerfield Beach High School in 2000.  She married Matthew, her high school sweetheart, in October 2006. Together they breed ball pythons and have numerous reptilian pets, one guinea pig and two dogs. She teaches Sunday school for two year old's at her church.

Kristin joined our practice in April of 2008. She spent the prior 2.5 years as a bird and reptile keeper at Miami Seaquarium. She enjoys yoga, reading, and being outdoors in her spare time.

Kristin and her husband Matthew just welcomed their first son named Bram on New Year's Eve, 2016.

Brooke Rowell
Veterinary Technician

Brooke was also born and raised in Florida and joined our practice August 2016.  She has worked with animals all her life and has volunteered countless hours at the humane society. Brooke is currently engaged with two little boys Fisher and Dakoda, who keep her very busy. She has a pitbull named Boss, a wire-haired dachshund named Scooter and a cat named Little. On the rare occasion that she has free time, her family likes to go fishing, camping or spend the day at the beach. 

Maryanne Farmer 
Veterinary Technician

Maryanne was born and raised in Florida and has been with us since 2011 after completing her associates degree in Veterinary Technology.  She has developed an affinity for chinchillas after adopting Guy nine years ago.  Her other fur kids consists of a rabbit, 3 dogs and 2 cats. In her spare time Maryanne enjoys hanging out with her husband Jason and daughter Emily.

Ashley Saddler
Veterinary Technician

Ashley is originally from Jamaica but has been in the United States since 2011. She graduated from Ardenne High School in Kingston, Jamaica and is an alumni of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. Ashley has worked with animals all her life and has a deep rooted passion for them. She is also planning to pursue her DVM degree in the near future. Ashley has a Pitbull named Fatboy, whom she loves dearly and is planning on getting a uromastyx. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, reading and playing soccer. 

Gabby Millman
Veterinary Receptionist

Gabby was born in New York but raised in South Florida. She joined our practice September 2016.  Working with animals has always been her passion. Ferrets are her favorite animal.. and yes,  she has one named Otis. Gabby has aspirations to become a veterinary technician and is currently finishing up her prerequisites at Palm Beach State College.  In her free time she enjoys bowling and loves visiting local festivals.  

Sarah Franks
Veterinary Receptionist

Sarah was born and raised in Florida and recently joined our practice March 2017.  She is a B.S graduate from the University of Florida where she studied psychology and zoology. She really enjoys animal behavior and is finding exotics intriguing.  In her free time, Sarah enjoys hanging out with her dog and cat, going to concerts and doing anything fun outdoors.  

Rachele Greene-Calhoun
Veterinary Receptionist

Rachele was born and raised in South Florida and recently joined our practice March 2017.  She has worked with many different species ranging from chinchillas to horses and dreams of one day running her own Animal Sanctuary/Rescue. She aspires to be a veterinarian technician and plans to attend a vet tech program at Miami Dade once her prerequisites are completed. In her spare time she enjoys spending time at the beach or taking spontaneous trips with her friends.  She has 4 cats including 2 Maine Coons, a Silver Tabby and a Calico.
